It's Wednesday, insanity reigns!
Time for the Wednesday Mind Hump, and today is Face Day! Your task: Post a photo of a face. It could be your face, a face of someone you know, or the face of a pet. Or you can post a link to a face on a photo sharing site. Either way, give us a good face!Just for background, I'm never the serious one. I think my friends like putting me in funny situations just to see what I'll do. I have a pretty expressive countenance and I love to make people laugh, and sometimes, if you're really lucky, someone has a camera and will capture the magic moment. So here are some of my best moments... and faces. I'm the county fire queen, and my runner up is one of my very best friends. Being a fire queen can be demanding, but I like to keep things light and amusing. :P I was helping my friend paint her room. I should never be allowed to play with paint, it's just a bad idea. We were comparing foreheads because ours are the largest of anyone we know. Hahaha. So there you have it. Now get on over to BDI and start humping!

Yes, even breathing feels alright.
I was just thinking about back in high school when I went through my depression and what a hard time in my life that was. How sad is our society that 15-year-old kids have to deal with adult issues like depression and suicide? Seriously. I'm totally baffled by the things that kids have to face these days. I think I scared my mom yesterday, because I was watching the news and they were talking about the war, and I looked at her and said, "My greatest fear is that my own children will have to pay for this war." I am scared, scared senseless. I don't want to raise my children in a time of conflict. My brothers and I were old enough to understand when our world changed 6 years ago, but my children will only know conflict and war. I am truly frightened of the world that I am destined to inherit. But on a more positive note, I realized just how far I have come in 5 years. I am so in love with life these days, it's very exciting. I keep finding more and more strength to get me by, even through the thing with Jeff. I feel like I can be a source of strength for others, too. One of the girls at work has a friend who is going through the same thing I went through with Jeff, and I passed on my cell phone number. I want this girl to call me so I can tell her that everything will be alright. I want to hug her and let her know that she isn't alone, and that she will be just fine. The reason behind all that? I realized that I'm going to be just fine. I'm really going to be just fine. It feels damn good.

BDI = <3!1. Do you have an iPod or similar device? Tell us about it. I have a 1st gen iPod nano that I got for Christmas 2005. His name is Hans, he's white, and I love him dearly. I'm not too crazy about the new iPod nano's with the metal casing, because I LOVE Hans' smooth look. He lives in my purse most of the time, and I use him just about every day. 2. If the answer to question #1 is no, what do you use to listen to music? I answered yes to #1, but I also use the radio and I have a few CD's that haven't been burned onto iTunes. When I'm using the computer, I listen to my extensive iTunes library. 3. How many songs do you have on your mp3 player? According to Hans, I have 343 songs and 8 photos. 4. What situations make you want to bring your mp3 player with you? Everything, haha! Waiting between classes, driving, taking a walk, sitting the doctor's office, vacuuming, folding laundry, studying, etc. etc. etc! I use it everywhere, I promise you.
